Andy Fan Bio

Chinese-American businessman, Vice-Chairman of Sino-American Trade Development Association, Chairman of Starz Trade America. Well-respected and sought-after public speaker in China, with adoring fans across the country. Many poor aspiring students see him as their quintessential role model: when he was two years old, his parents had to give him away because there was not enough food for all three children. Realizing that he himself was his only Savior, he studied and worked harder than anyone else in school, made it to the best university in China -- Beijing Foreign Studies University. Shortly after graduation, his first dream came true: becoming the interpreter for China's Head of State -- Prime Minister Li Peng. Later he was awarded full scholarship to do graduate studies in the U.S., was introduced to Bill Clinton by the University President to serve as his interpreter, thus realizing his second dream. Being a book lover since he started to read, his third dream was to write a popular book, and that dream came true when his book was stacked side by side with Bill Clinton's <<My Life>> in China's book stores. Seeing hundreds of adoring fans lined up to get his autograph, some waiting for hours, made him realize how far he had come, and how much his story had meant to all those students. To millions of poor parents who have little to offer their children in terms of material riches, who are trying to find a role model for their disadvantaged children, Andy's "Dream-Come-True" life story is also their dream come true: now they have someone their children can always look up to, someone they can relate to, a success born out of sheer determination and personal drive to be somebody, no matter how poor your background or what condition you were born into... His popular book in China also made him a guest on TV and radio shows, as well as being reported and followed by newspapers and magazines. Even though Andy is not a household name like Yao Ming, but to all his fans and their parents across the country, he is their idol, their hero, and their super star. Due to his popularity, he is often invited as the honor guest and speaker by many prominent organizations, such as being invited to Nobel Laureates Beijing Forum, Forbes China City Investment Forum, even as a guest host for the World Automobile Model Competition ...

Andy feels that he owed everything to both his adopted country -- the US, and his native country -- China. Being a patriotic American citizen, he has embarked on a mission to help narrow the ever-increasing trade deficit between China and the US, by helping Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) selling their goods and services in China, as well as providing 1.3 billion Chinese consumers the opportunity to enjoy authentic American goods and services produced actually by Americans.
